Both the podcast and the articles you read state that critical incident stress debriefing does not reduce the incidence of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), in fact, for some individuals it may produce PTSD. In a 300 – 500 word response, discuss why this may be and, address whether preventing an officer from developing PTSD should be the measure of success for a critical incident stress debriefing or if there should be other reasons to use it.
